A springboard/platform diving club based in Halifax, Nova Scotia
Cygnus Diving Club is a not-for-profit springboard and platform club, operating out of the Centennial Pool in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are committed to the development of a positive, co-operative, and supportive atmosphere for participation at all levels in the sport of diving.
The club is primarily committed to competitive performance. Our belief is that competitive divers can best be supported through a full spectrum of introductory and developmental programs. As such, the decisions and actions of the club are designed to ensure that all divers who have the desire to become competent in diving will be given the opportunity to participate.
We offer a wide range of programs to suit all levels from beginner to national level, including adult learn to dive classes. We are always looking for more divers so why not give it a try!

Learn-to-dive is an introduction to diving through recreation and fun, ideal for children comfortable in deep water, ages 6-12. Children should be able to swim one length of the pool (widthwise, approximately 18m), unassisted.
The Recreation stream is for older children, 10+, with completion of at least one term of PLOUF. It will focus on proper technique and safety on 1m and 3m springboards, as well as the platform tower. Training will include dryland conditioning, pool time, and an introduction to trampoline.
For 18+, this class is designed for beginners, or those looking to improve existing diving skills. We offer a fun, supportive environment to build confidence and technique on springboards and platforms.
You’ll learn fundamentals of diving, safe diving progressions, and focus on body control and proper form. Dryland conditioning, trampoline, and pool time will be offered throughout the course.
No experience necessary but must be a confident swimmer and be comfortable in deep water. At minimum, you need to be able to swim 18m in the deep end of the pool unassisted.
